Evander Holyfield to Speak at The 19th Annual Outback Steak Dinner

Four-time world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield has been announced as the guest speaker for the 19th Annual Outback Steak Dinner for the Boys and Girls Club in Lubbock, Texas. The event will take place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall at 6:30 p.m. on March 10th to give 100 club members an opportunity to have a great steak dinner and so that the kids can educate the adults more about what they do in the club itself.

The American boxer who is the evening’s guest of honor carries the nicknames “The Real Deal” and “The Warrior” due to his performance in the heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions of the sport. In 1990 he won the champion titles for the WBA, WBC and IBF events with an undisputed ruling. In addition to that, Holyfield took home the bronze medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics for the Light Heavyweight event. According to The Boxing Scene, Holyfield is ranked as the Greatest Cruiserweight of all time.

The boxer will be present at the Boys and Girls Club steak dinner in Lubbock, TX next month where he will be the guest speaker for the night. Along with the speech and food, there will also be auctions for sports memorabilia, both silent and regular, and autographed footballs and basketballs to give away.
