ESPN Personality Paul Finebaum Speaks at Chamber Event

ESPN personality Paul Finebaum was back in the state that made him a household name across the nation this month. He was the keynote speaker in Alabama for the Shoals Chamber of Commerce's annual celebration.

Finebaum participated in a moderated Q&A that touched on many areas of career. He talked about how he handles criticism and shared fun stories about being out on the road as one of college football's most popular media personalities.

Finebaum also commented on his notorious callers that have been the stars of his radio and television show. He was not shy about sharing some opinions at the event either, saying that in the pantheon of great coaches, he ranks current Alabama coach Nick Saban slightly ahead of legend Bear Bryant.

Before graduating to the role of multimedia juggernaut, Finebaum began his career as a newspaper journalist and sports columnist. His Paul Finebaum Show was simulcast on radio stations throughout the South and garnered a larger platform when the SEC Network was launched in 2014.

Finebaum also appears regularly on a variety of ESPN shows, like Sportscenter, College Gameday and First Take. He is a regular panelist on the SEC Network program, SEC Nation.

Finebaum is a New York Times bestselling author who has written several books. He regularly ranks highly on lists compiled of the most powerful people in sports media.
