College GameDay Reporter Maria Taylor Keynotes Sport Industry Conference

ESPN College GameDay reporter Maria Taylor is one of the rising stars in sports broadcasting. She will share her unique insight at a very special event held by the University of Miami next month.

Taylor is a keynote speaker at UM's Sport Industry Conference on April 5 at the Donna E. Shalala Center. The program is designed to cover areas related to sports law and business, with a particular emphasis on networking.

As one of the younger faces in her industry, Taylor's presentation should be particularly impactful for the students in attendance. She has also worked to create opportunities for minorities and women in sports by co-founding The Winning Edge Leadership Academy.

Taylor joined the SEC Network in 2014 as a sideline reporter for the SEC Network. She was promoted to serve as a host on the network's program SEC Nation and joined the College GameDay crew last season.

Taylor is also an analyst for ESPN's coverage of women's college basketball and volleyball. She played both sports and was a three-time All-SEC performer at the University of Georgia.

Taylor began her broadcasting career as a reporter and host with the UGA wing of IMG College. She has a bachelor's degree in broadcast news and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia.
