College Football Legend Lou Holtz Named Keynote Speaker at Petroleum Conference

For years, legendary colege football coach Lou Holtz has been entertaining audiences and inspiring minds with speeches across the country.  Holtz is making his latest appearance as the keynote speaker at the 2016 Williston Basin Petroleum Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota.

The conference runs May 24-26 and he will speak on the final day.  Regular admission to the three-day conference at the Bismarck Event Center is $400 until April 14th with a special $100 student rate also available.

Holtz's presentation is titled, "Coaching When It Counts".  Over 4,000 people attended the 2014 conference, which was also held in North Dakota, so a big crowd can be expected to hear remarks from the coach.

Holtz retired after the 2004 season with a 249-132-7 career record.  He led six schools to bowl games and won the 1988 national championship with Notre Dame.

In South Bend, Holtz is particularly revered and considered the greatest modern era coach of the prestigious program.  He took the Fighting Irish to a record nine straight bowl games and finished with a 100-30-2 record.

More recently, Holtz became a fan favorite as an ESPN analyst from 2005-2015.  He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
