Baseball Legend Cal Ripken Jr. to Speak at St. John's College Q&A

There is nowhere that baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr. is more popular than the state of Maryland. Those in-state fans and admirers will get to learn from this man who has been a success in and out of sports next month at St. John's College.

Ripken is participating in a Q&A on March 5 with veteran journalist Chris Wallace as part of the school's Great Conversations series. St. John's annual events pair together two accomplished individuals from different fields to discuss their achievements.

General admission is $60 for the event, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Francis Scott Key Auditorium. Ripken is the first individual from the world of sports to participate in one of these talks.

For over two decades, Ripken was a consistent standard of excellence for the Baltimore Orioles. His career is defined by breaking baseball's all-time consecutive games played record.

Ripken also dominated on the field, collecting over 3,000 hits and 431 home runs. He was a 19-time All-Star and two-time American League MVP.

Ripken's first MVP award came in 1983, the same year he led the Orioles to a World Series title. He is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and has gone on to success in the business of the game as the CEO of Ripken Baseball.
