Telvin Smith Biography

Telvin Smith is an NFL linebacker, currently playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Smith committed to the Florida State University Seminoles in 2009 after a high school career where he played football and ran track for Lowndes High School. Relegated to a back-up role for his first three seasons, Smith played in almost every game, but never truly made an impact until his senior season in 2013. Smith made his mark after finally being named a starter, leading the Seminoles with 75 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions. He was named first team All-ACC after the season, a season in which FSU would go undefeated and win the national championship for the first time since 1999. After an impressive pro day, Smith was drafted in the fifth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he has played a good amount in hisrookie season.
