About Shawn Elliott
Shawn Elliott is in his second stint as a coach at South Carolina after most recently serving as the head football coach at Georgia State University. Before arriving in Atlanta, Elliott spent seven seasons on the coaching staff at South Carolina. After the retirement of Steve Spurrier in 2015, Elliott was interim head coach for the Gamecocks final six games. He remained on Will Muschamp's USC staff as offensive line coach in 2016. Elliott's coaching career began at his alma mater, Appalachian State as a defensive assistant in 1997. He also had stints as a tight ends coach and offensive line coach during his tenure in Boone.
