Ron Kittle Biography

Ron Kittle was one of the top home run hitters in baseball during the 1980s. Kittle made his major league debut with the Chicago White Sox and was named the 1983 American League Rookie of the Year after hitting 35 home runs and 100 RBI. He was also an All-Star that season. Kittle was instrumental in guiding the White Sox to their first playoff berth since 1959. He played for Chicago during three different stints during his ten-year career. Kittle also suited up for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles. In 2005, he wrote the book, "Ron Kittle's Tales from the White Sox Dugout." He currently builds custom benches out of baseball equipment.
