Ricky Williams Biography

Ricky Williams began his career in football in college at the University of Texas where he still holds or shares 20 NCAA records. Ricky led his team rushing for nine touchdowns and 385 yards in the first two games of his senior season and won the Heisman Trophy. He then became the fifth overall selection in the 1999 NFL Draft. Ricky quickly became known for his ability to produce on the field and amassed 10,009 career rushing yards, 66 rushing touchdowns, 342 receptions, and 2,606 receiving yards in his career. Ricky had a stellar season in 2002 in which he was rewarded with a Pro Bowl selection and became the game’s MVP. He was also the NFL Rushing Leader and an AP First-Team All-Pro. While Ricky played 11 seasons in the NFL, he also played a year in the Canadian Football League, and in 11 games he racked up 526 yards on 109 carries for two touchdowns
