Richard Sherman Biography

Richard Sherman is a cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. Sherman attended Stanford University to play football on an athletic scholarship. In his freshman campaign he led the team in receiving. After suffering an injury he made the move to become a cornerback and took to it naturally with 112 tackles in his final two seasons. He even led the 2010 Stanford Cardinal team to a 12-1 record, which is a school record. After graduating, he came back in his final year of eligibility to begin his master’s degree. Richard became the 154th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft where he had continued success, and has become one of the most well-known players for his outspoken personality, tendency for making big plays, and his frequent trash-talk. He has racked up 210 tackles, 23 interceptions and 64 passes defensed in route to a Pro Bowl selection, being the NFL Interceptions Leader, an NFC Champion and a Super Bowl Champion.
