Quinton Rampage Jackson Biography

Quinton Jackson was born in Memphis, Tennessee and overcame a rough childhood to become one of the most prominent figures in mixed martial arts.  At the age of 17 he enrolled at Raleigh-Egypt High School and joined the wrestling team.  As a senior he earned All-Star honors after finishing fifth at the state tournament and went on to wrestle at Lassen Community College in Susanville, California.  It was during this time that he discovered his talent in MMA fighting and began pursuing a professional fighting career.  He made his debut in 1999 and went on to fight in the Pride Fighting Championships before joining the UFC and becoming the Light Heavyweight champion 2007.  Over the course of his 15-year MMA career he has posted a 35-11 overall record and currently competes as a part of Bellator MMA.  In addition to his fighting career he has also become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, making appearances in several television series and popular movies such as Ridiculousness and The A-Team.
