Layla WWE Diva Biography

Layla is a former WWE Women’s Champion and WWE Divas Champion.  She is the last recognized Women’s Champion in the organization’s history.  Layla pinned Beth Phoenix on SmackDown on May 14th, 2010 to capture the title.  During this time, she had an alliance with fellow WWE Diva Michelle McCool called LayCool.  After return from tearing her ACL and MCL, Layla would win the WWE Divas Championship in 2012 after beating Nikki Bella.  Her initial foray into wrestling would come when she won the 2006 WWE Diva Search.  Prior to wrestling, Layla was a dancer for various musicians, Carnival Cruise Lines, and the Miami Heat.  The London native currently resides in Miami.
