George McCaskey Biography

Growing up, George McCaskey enjoyed his fair share of Chicago Bears football games.  As the child of Bears owner Ed McCaskey, George was more than just a Bears fan, he was a part of the Bears family.  After graduating from Arizona State University in 1981 he became a reporter for an NBC affiliate in Illinois before joining the family business in 1991 as the Bears senior director of ticket operations.  In 2004 he earned a spot on the team’s board of directors, becoming true franchise royalty along with his father and older brother Michael.  In 2011 McCaskey took his current position as the Bear’s Chairman, and has since made several decisions that have altered the course of the franchise in a positive direction.
