Clint Bowyer Biography

Clint Bowyer began racing at the age of 5 when he was introduced to the sport of motocross. Bowyer began making a name for himself in stock car racing in the early 2000s and in 2003 was offered a position with Richard Childress Racing which started his NASCAR career. Bowyer saw some time in the Busch Series in 2004 and by 2005 was a full-time racer. Bowyer went on to make a name as one of the best racers in the sports. In 2007 he won his first NEXTEL Cup series race, making him just the 15th driver to win a race in each of NASCAR's top series. In 2008 Bowyer won his first championship with a 5th place finish that sealed him the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship. In 16 seasons at the NASCAR Cup level, he won 10 races, including three NASCAR All-Star races. Bowyer also finished second in the Cup standings in 2012. He retired in 2020 and is currently a commentator for FOX's NASCAR coverage.
