Bill Callahan Biography

Bill Callahan is currently the offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns. In 1978, the Chicago native began his career as a high school coach for two seasons. The next step was to move into coaching at the college level. In 1980 Bill was a graduate assistant for the University of Illinois before being promoted to a full-time position a year later. After 15 years at the college level Bill took yet another step in his career, up to the NFL ranks. In 2002, in his first season as a head coach, Bill led the Oakland Raiders to their third consecutive AFC West Title and the organizations first Super Bowl appearance since returning back to Oakland. Callahan was only the fourth rookie coach to accomplish that feat.
