Amy Chow Biography

Amy Chow participated in one of the greatest events in the history of U.S. Women’s Gymnastics.  She was a member of the Magnificent Seven when they became the first American women to win team gymnastics gold in 1996.  Chow also returned to take a team bronze in 2000 and has one individual silver medal in uneven bars from 1996.  In her first international event, she won team silver at the 1994 World Championships.  She has been inducted into the U.S. Gymnastics Hall of Fame as an individual and as a member in the 1996 team.  Outside of gymnastics, Chow has a variety of interests.  She is an accomplished pianist and competed in diving at Stanford.  Chow did her undergraduate and doctoral work at Stanford and is a licensed physician and surgeon.
