Washington Redskins Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson Signs Endorsement Deal with BRANDBLACK

After being sidelined with a hamstring injury since Week 1, Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson made his return to the field on Sunday.  Jackson also had a shiny new endorsement deal to accompany his comeback.

On Thursday, sportswear company BRANDBLACK announced the three-time Pro Bowler as the face of their training apparel and footwear brands.  Jackson is playing in a “DJX” speed cleat designed by BRANDBLACK.

The company also boasts the Los Angeles Clippers’ Jamal Crawford as an endorser.  Jackson’s tremendous on-field speed and flair made him a natural choice to also join team BRANDBLACK.

Last season, Jackson led the NFL 20.9 yards per reception.  Overall in his first season with the Redskins he finished with 56 catches for 1,169 yards and six touchdowns.

Jackson spent the first six seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He became one of the most lethal threats in the game, compiling three 1000-yard seasons while also serving as an electric punt returner.

The Eagles selected Jackson out of Cal in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.  He was a two-time All-American and All-Pac 10 first-team pick for the Golden Bears.
