Washington Redskins Pass Rusher Ryan Kerrigan Goes Home to Speak at FCA Banquet

A Muncie, Indiana native is returning home to share his faith Thursday night.  Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will be the keynote speaker at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes event.

The FCA of East Central Indiana is having their Home Team Funding Banquet at 6:30 p.m. at the Horizon Convention Center.  Nearly 1,000 people are expected to be in attendance and the doors officially open at 6:00 p.m.

Kerrigan played at nearby Central High School and went on to earn All-American honors at Purdue.  In his four years with the Redskins, he has developed into one of the NFL’s best pass rushers.

With a career-best 13.5 sacks coming in 2014, Kerrigan now ranks sixth in franchise history in career sacks.  His one Pro Bowl campaign came in 2012.

The Redskins originally made him the 16th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.  Kerrigan was a unanimous All-American and the Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior with the Boilermakers.
