Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Chad Hennings Keynotes Flags for Heroes Ceremony

Chad Hennings is best known as a former Dallas Cowboys star, but he also served the United States in the Air Force. That made him the ideal keynote speaker for the Good News Foundation's 3rd Annual Flags for Heroes ceremony.

The event was held on Saturday at the Utica Parkway Center. There were 1,000 American flags displayed to remember veterans for their sacrifice.

The flags were displayed in the median on Utica Memorial Parkway from November 4th to November 12th. Proceeds from the ceremony benefited local veteran programs.

Hennings played college football at the Air Force Academy and won the Outland Trophy in 1987. He was drafted by the Cowboys in 1988, but fulfilled his Air Force obligation before joining the team in 1992.

Hennings served two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf and was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal twice. He went on to spend his entire nine-year career in Dallas and won three Super Bowls.

Hennings retired from the NFL with 27.5 sacks. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, the Air Force Academy Athletics Hall of Fame, the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame and the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame.
