Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht is starting to get credit for building a roster that has his team poised as one of the NFL's up-and-coming franchises. He will speak about some of his success with the Hillsborough County Bar Association next month.
Licht is speaking at HCBA's annual Law Day Luncheon on May 11th. The event is being held for members at noon at the Hilton in downtown Tampa.
In addition to Licht's presentation, several awards will be handed out. The Bank of Tampa is sponsoring the luncheon and registration is currently open.
Licht has been the Bucs GM since 2014 and is credited with drafting franchise cornerstones like Mike Evans and Jameis Winston. He came to Tampa after serving as the Arizona Cardinals vice president of player personnel.
From 2009-11, Licht was the director of player personnel for the New England Patriots. He began his career as a front office executive with New England in 2002.
Licht also spent time working in the front office with the Philadelphia Eagles. He began his football career in scouting with the Miami Dolphins in 1995.
