Sportswriter Jeff Pearlman Holds Brett Favre Book Signing in Green Bay

Sportswriter Jeff Pearlman's latest book certainly speaks directly to those in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  On Friday, he will be in town to sign copies of, "Gunslinger: The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre."

The appearance takes place at 7 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in town.  There will be books for sale on site for $28, but those who have already purchased the book at the store can also take part in the signing.

Pearlman interviewed 573 people for the 448-page book.  With strong support from the Green Bay community, the book may very well be his latest bestseller.

Pearlman has written seven books, many of them New York Times bestsellers.  In addition to the Favre book, he has written biographies about Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Walter Payton.

Pearlman's writing career started as a member of the staff for The Tennessean and Newsday.  He gained notoreity for a Sports Illustrated article where then-Atlanta Braves pitcher John Rocker issued some controversial comments.

In addition to SI, Pearlman has also had a national platform as a writer for ESPN.com.  Outside of his books, he contributes to many websites.
