Pete Carroll has always been known as a forward-thinking coach. The Seattle Seahawks head coach was talking about the future of football at the Postback mobile marketing conference. 

The event took place July 20-21 in Seattle at McCaw Hall. Carroll was the special surprise closing keynote speaker on Thursday, addressing over 1,000 attendees. 

Carroll participated in a 30-minute interview, switching between technology and football topics. The event was specifically designed for mobile marketers and brought people from all around the world. 

Carroll holds the unique distinction of being one of three coaches to have won a Super Bowl and a college football national championship. He guided the Seahawks to back-to-back NFC Championships and a win in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Under Carroll's leadership, Seattle has made the playoffs seven of the past eight seasons. He had also coached the New York Jets and New England Patriots in the NFL. 

Carroll guided one of the most dominant runs in college football history while serving as the head coach at USC from 2001-09. The Trojans won seven straight Pac-10 Conference titles and consecutive AP national championships in 2003 and 2004.
