RLPSA Names All-Time Leading Rusher Emmitt Smith Keynote Speaker for Annual Conference

The Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Association is welcoming a sports celebrity to their Annual Convention. All-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith has been announced as the keynote speaker.

The event takes place August 5-8 in Smith's backyard of Dallas, Texas at the downtown Hyatt Regency. The RLPSA convention is the only restaurant industry conference that is dedicated to discussing loss prevention and safety.

The 2018 edition of the event is expected to draw over 300 attendees and be their largest showing to date. Smith will talk just as much about his post-football business successes as his gridiron exploits.

Smith had a 15-year career and rushed for a record 18,355 yards. He played for the Dallas Cowboys for 13 seasons and helped them win three Super Bowls.

In 1993, Smith was named NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP. He led the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns four times.

Smith was an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, College Football Hall of Fame and Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.
