Procter & Gamble Names Gold Medal Gymnast Laurie Hernandez Crest Brand Ambassador

Procter & Gamble has agreed to one of the first endorsement deals for a Rio Olympics star.  They have signed gold medal gymnast Laurie Hernandez to be their newest brand ambassador for Crest. 

Herhandez's winning smiled captured the American audience making her a perfect fit with the toothpaste brand.  She is making her first appearance for the company today in Rio at the P&G Family Home. 

Hernandez's mom Wanda is also a part of the visit.  The duo will become further integrated with P&G through their "Thank You Mom" advertising campaign. 

With the now-dubbed "Final Five", Hernandez won team gymanstics gold in Rio.  She also notched a score of 15.333 on the balance beam to win an individual silver medal. 

At the U.S. Olympic Trials, Herhandez finshed second in the all-around.  During this past June's National Championships, she placed third in the all-around, uneven bars and balance beam while tieing for third in floor exercise.  

Prior to starting her senior career, Hernandez was the junior champion at the 2015 National Championships.  Last year, she also won junior titles in floor exercise and vault with silver medal performances on balance beam and uneven bars.
