Pro Football Hall of Famer Howie Long Makes Appearance at Terre Haute Boys & Girls Club Fundraiser November 11th

It is not often the city of Terre Haute, Indiana can score a visit from someone in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  Thanks to a unique connection, that rare occurence will become reality on November 11th.

Former Oakland Raiders great Howie Long will be a special guest at the local Boys & Girls Club's annual fundraiser banquet.  He is joining one of his current bosses, Indiana native and Fox Sports president, COO and executive producer Eric Shanks.

Shanks is the featured speaker, but Long is also expected to share some words at the event.  The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets to attend are $55.

During a 13-year NFL career, Long was one of the most feared pass rushers in the league and racked up 91.5 sacks.  He went to eight Pro Bowls and was a three-time first-team All-Pro.

Long helped the Raiders to victory in Super Bowl XVII.  Two seasons later, he was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Long has been a popular football personality in retirement.  He has continued to be a sought-after corporate pitchman and is a longtime studio analyst for the NFL on Fox Sunday pregame show.
