Popular ESPN Analyst Ron Jaworski Hosts Annual Golf Tournament Next Month

Former NFL quarterback and current television analyst Ron Jaworski has had a long career in the spotlight.  That has allowed him to build the connections neccessary to hold a successful celebrity golf tournament each year.

The 32nd annual Ron Jaworski Celebrity Golf Challenge takes place June 12-13 in Atlantic City, New Jersey at Harrah's Resort and Blue Heron Pines Golf Club.  The tournament benefits Jaws Youth Playbook and the NFL Alumni Association.

A parings party with all the stars at Harrah's kicks off the festivities on Sunday night.  Last year's two-day event raised over $200,000.

Jaworski played 17 NFL seasons, but he is best remembered for a ten-year run with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He had a particularly notable season in 1980, making his first and only Pro Bowl while leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl.

His 170 passing touchdowns rank second in franchise history.  In 1992, Jaworski was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame.

Since 1990, Jaworski has entertained audiences as an analyst at ESPN and had a five-year stint on the broadcast crew for Monday Night Football.  He has also been successful in business, managing golf courses and owning a stake in the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football League franchise.
