Ohio State Defensive Coordinator Greg Schiano Speaks at Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club

Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano made an in-state appearance this week. On Monday, he was in Canton to speak to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club.

The event was held at Rozzi's Restaurant. Schiano was a late replacement for Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer who was nursing an illness.

Schiano shared a little insight into what Ohio State fans can expect in 2017. He broke down the team by position groups and also discussed some changes on the coaching staff.

This is Schiano's second season running the defense in Columbus. He took a few seasons away from the sidelines after serving as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-2013.

Schiano is best known for his decade-long stint as the head coach at Rutgers. He turned around the Scarlet Knights, guiding the program to six bowl games.

In 2006, Schiano won many major national coach of the year awards as Rutgers went 11-2 and finished ranked 12th in the polls. He is a New Jersey native who began his career coaching at a high school in the state before moving on to jobs at Rutgers, Penn State, the Chicago Bears and the University of Miami.
