New York Giants Legend George Martin Speaks at Voices of September 11th Charity Golf Tournament

Next month, New York Giants legend George Martin speaks at an event meant to continually support those affected by the September 11th tragedy.  He is speaking at the 2nd annual Voices of September 11th charity golf outing on September 6th. 

The event will be held at The Country Club of Fairfield in Connecticut.  Golf Digest has rated it the second best course in the state. 

Martin is keynoting the tournament's awards program and dinner reception.  It will begin at 5 p.m. and be held following the 25 foursomes completing their round.  

As a former New York sports star, Martin has been influential in helping people heal after September 11th.  In 2007, he founded the the non-profit A Jounrey for 911.  

Martin did a 3,000 mile walk across the United States to raise money for 9/11 responders and recovery workers.  He chronicled the journey in a book, "Just Around the Bend".   

Martin spent his entire 14-year career with the Giants and is in the franchise's Ring of Honor.  He was a captain for the Super Bowl XXI champions.
