New Los Angeles Chargers Wide Receiver Mike Williams Holds Autograph Signing Back in South Carolina

There is no denying Mike Williams huge impact in helping win the College Football Playoff National Championship this past January. On Friday, he returned to the state of South Carolina for an autograph signing.

Williams was in Mount Pleasant for the 11:30 a.m. signing at the Palmetto Moon store. The appearance was just an hour from where he grew up in Vance and a four-hour drive to the Clemson campus.

The event was hosted by Fanatics. There was memorabilia on-hand to purchase in addition to the tickets to enter the signing line.

After his standout career with the Tigers, Williams was selected seventh overall this spring in the NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers. He is coming off a junior season where he caught 84 passes for 1,171 yards and 10 touchdowns.

For his efforts, Williams was a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference pick. He was named to the All-ACC third-team as a sophomore after recording 57 receptions for 1,030 yards and six touchdowns.

Williams had back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons at Lake Marion High School & Technology Center. He was considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com before committing to Clemson.
