Inside the NBA Analyst Kenny Smith Keynotes Nevada Governor’s Dinner Next Month

This July, the state of Nevada has added basketball celebrity to the proceedings at their 48th Governor's Dinner.  On July 8th, former NBA standout Kenny Smith will address the crowd assembled at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

Individual tickets for the dinner are $350 with ten person tables available for $3,500.  There is also a special VIP package that costs $500 for single attendees and $5000 per table.

That VIP deal comes with a ticket to a pre-dinner reception with Smith.  Proceeds from the Governor's Dinner benefit student-athlete scholarships at the University of Nevada.

Smith played ten NBA seasons and factored most prominently for the Houston Rockets.  With the Rockets, he won two NBA championships and stands as the franchise's all-time leader in three-point field goal percentage.

Smith's basketball skills were originally honed in New York City at powerhouse Archbishop Malloy.  He went on to play at North Carolina and in his final collegiate season he was named a consensus first-team All-American and first-team All-ACC pick.

Today, Smith remains one of the most beloved figures in basketball as an analyst on the award-winning studio show "Inside the NBA".  He originally joined Turner Sports in 1998 and contributes to the network's NCAA Tournamenet coverage as well.
