Heritage Nazarene Names Former Pro Bowl Quarterback Michael Vick Keynote Speaker for Tragedy Into Triumph

Heritage Nazarene Church has unveiled an impressive list of speakers for their tenth annual Tragedy Into Triumph event. The theme of the event allows speakers to explore failings in their lives and show how their situation was turned around with God's help.

The story of former Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick perfectly fits the Tragedy Into Triumph narrative. He will speak on March 20th about going to prison at the height of his football career and how he was able to become a success on the gridiron again.

There are four different speakers that will present at the church each evening from March 18-21. Each session will also be streamed to a total of 100,00 people online.

Vick first starred in college at Virginia Tech, where he named the Big East Offensive Player of the Year in 1999. The Atlanta Falcons selected him with the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.

Vick spent the first six years of his career with the Falcons and was named to three Pro Bowls. After returning to the league with the Philadelphia Eagles, he was named to his fourth Pro Bowl and won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award in 2010.

Vick set career and single-season NFL records for rushing yards by a quarterback. He officially retired this year and currently works as an analyst for Fox Sports.
