Hall of Fame Baseball Writer Peter Gammons Makes Appearance at Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest

Over the years, Peter Gammons has become a one-stop shop for baseball fans to get their news and information.  At the end of the month, Tampa Bay Rays fans get the opportunity to hear Gammons insights on the game in person.

The legendary baseball writer will hold a discussion on February 27th at Rays Fan Fest.  Gammons presentation will be part of "Panel Discussions & Reading with the Rays presented by Suncoast Credit Union". 

His conversation will be held at the event on the Pepsi Main Stage.  There will also be several autograph sessions with notable Rays players and a charity yard sale. 

Gammons was a true pioneer as a baseball writer when he began his notes column for The Boston Globe.  He has gone on to work for several national media outlets and is best known for a 20-year run at ESPN that began in 1988.  

Gammons is a three-time National Sportswriter of the Year.  In 2004, he was awarded the J.G. Taylor Spink Award for oustanding baseball writing.  

Currently, Gammons works for the MLB Network, MLB.com, and NESN.  He is also an accomplished indie rock musician and is known to play at venues all around Boston.
