Green Bay Packers Great Gilbert Brown Speaks at PTA Banquet Monday

Green Bay Packers great Gilbert Brown has worked in retirement on helping kids defend themselves against bullying. He will share some of his methods at the PTA Founder's Day Dinner.

The 74th annual event takes place on February 26th at the Parkway Chateau in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It is organized by the Kenosha Unified PTA Council and the Urban League of Racine and Kenosha.

Brown is the author of an anti-bullying comic workbook. Tickets are available online or at the door for $25.

Brown spent his entire 10-year career with the Packers and is considered one of the greatest defensive linemen in team history. The Minnesota Vikings originally chose him in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft and he was picked up off of waivers by Green Bay.

Brown played in 125 tackles and racked up 292 tackles. He played in 15 postseason games and was a key member of the team that won Super Bowl XXXI.

Brown retired after the 2003 season and has spent time coaching several indoor football teams. He has been the head coach of the Milwaukee Bonecrushers, La Crosse Spartans and Green Bay Chill.
