Golfer Lee Westwood Signs New Endorsement Deal with Ping

WIth the golf calendar just getting into full swing, Ping has locked up one of the their more important international endorsers.  Lee Westwood renewed with the brand on a multi-year agreement.

Westwood will continue to wear the Ping logo on his hat and play with a Ping bag and at least 11 clubs from the company.  Fellow European Tour golfers Andy Sullivan and Brandon Stone also re-upped their deals.

Details of the partnerships were not realeased.  Ping boasts around 40 golfers on their roster between the PGA and European Tours. 

Westwood has been one of the most successful golfers on both tours over the past two decades.  He has 42 career professional victories and has won on five different continents.

The three-time European Tour Golfer of the Year had competed in the last eight Ryder Cups.  Twice he has topped tour's Order of Merit list and with over $31 million in prize money, he is also the tour's all-time winnings leader. 

In October 2010, Westwood became number one in the world for the first time in his career and held that position for 22 weeks.  He still seeks his first major championship and has ten top ten finishes in majors.
