Former Football Coach Tommy Bowden Speaks at “Get Real” Men’s Expo Saturday

Tommy Bowden is almost as well-known for his motivational speaking as he is for his run as a successful college football head coach. On Saturday, he will speak at the "Get Real" Men's EXPO.

The event is taking place beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. Bowden will speak at 11 a.m. at the school's Performing Arts Center.

Outside of listening to Bowden speak, there will be an opportunity for men to network within a Christian-based fellowship. Last year, the event had nearly 800 in attendance and they expect more this year.

Bowden is best remembered for his decade long run as the head coach at Clemson. He posted a 72.45 with the Tigers and was a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year.

Bowden was also the head coach at Tulane for two seasons and led the Green Wave to an 11-0 record in 1998. He was also an offensive coordinator at Duke, Kentucky and Auburn.

Bowden began his career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, West Virginia. He also coached under his legendary father, Bobby, in two separate stints at Florida State.
