Former Cincinnati Reds Star Tom Browning Speaks at Hall of Fame Banquet Next Week

The 65th annual Price Hills Baseball Oldtimers Hall of Fame is bringing in a Cincinnati Reds favorite to speak. Tom Browning will speak at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony next Wednesday.

The event will be held at 5:30 at The Farm outside of Cincinnati in Delhi, Ohio. There will be six inductees in the Class of 2017 and three current student-athletes will be awarded scholarships.

Individual tickets cost $35 in advance and they will also be available at the door. They can be purchased by calling the Board the Directors.

Browning spent 12 years in the major leagues, 11 of those with the Reds. He became a hit as a rookie in 1984 when he went 20-9 with a 3.55 ERA.

Browning was the first rookie pitcher to win over 20 games in 30 years and finished as runner-up in National League Rookie of the Year voting. Four years later, he threw the 12th perfect game in big league history.

Browning also won a World Series with Cincinnati in 1990 and was named to the All-Star team in 1991. The Reds inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 2006.
