Former Basketball Coach Kevin Eastman Keynotes A-10 Student-Athlete Leadership Summit Next Week

The Atlantic 10 Conference is holding their Student-Athlete Leadership Summit April 8-9. The Washington D.C.-based event features keynote speaker and former basketball coach Kevin Eastman

There will be 28 men's and women's basketball players, representing each of the conference's 14 schools. In addition to Eastman, there will be several speakers from Forward Progress Athletic Consulting. 

Skills involving leadership, brand development, networking and social responsibility will be addressed. The student-athletes involved will receive a Leadership Summit certification at the end of the two days. 

Eastman most recently spent 12 years as an NBA assistant coach. He was on Doc Rivers' staff with the Boston Celtics and joined him as the Vice President of Basketball Operations for three years with the Los Angeles Clippers. 

Eastman also has experience as a Division 1 head coach in college basketball at Washington State and UNC Wilmington.  During his first two seasons with the Cougars, he led the program to back-to-back NIT appearances. 

Eastman is considered a top teacher of coaches and runs wildly successful clinics through Coaching U Live. He is Nike Basketball's Director of Player Development.
