Chocolate Milk Campaign Gets a Boost with Kelley O'Hara and Team USA's World Cup Glory

Some organizations got a lead on the exploding popularity that would follow the U.S. women’s national team following the World Cup.  The Milk Processor Education Program was one such group that got a head start tabbing Kelley O’Hara to star in their BUILT WITH CHOCOLATE MILK campaign. 

The ads debuted on TV, in print, and on digital platforms at the end of May leading into the World Cup.  They promote the benefits of drinking chocolate milk.

Alex Morgan’s spot for Nationwide and Christen Press’ work with Coppertone are just a few of the examples of other members of Team USA who got involved in the pre-World Cup marketing blitz.  Now, those opportunities can be expected to role in faster than ever.

O’Hara is already an Under Armour athlete and at 26, is considered one of the rising stars for the USWNT.  Once the hustle and bustle of the team’s victory tour wears off and the team starts gearing up for the 2016 Olympics, look for her to be prominently featured.

It is O’Hara’s performance over the final few games of the World Cup that have generated optimism.  After sitting for the first four matches, she started in the quarterfinal and scored her first international goal in the semis against Germany.

O’Hara had starred on the world scene before, playing every minute of the 2012 Olympic tournament and winning gold with the U.S.  She also plays professionally stateside for Sky Blue FC in the National Women’s Soccer League.
