Broward College Speaker Series Welcomes Women's Boxing Pioneer Laila Ali

Laila Ali has been around the spotlight since childhood. She understands the pressures of success having watched her father the legendary Muhammad Ali and then building her own sex successful boxing career.

On Tuesday, Ali will share some of her own life journey as the next presenter in the Broward College Speaker Series. Her conversation takes place at the Broward Center for Performing Arts and will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The focus of Ali's talk will be about how she finds inspiration in all areas of life. Tickets are currently available for $60.

Ali was positively influenced by her father and embarked on a professional boxing career from 1999 to 2007. She went on to go 24-0 with 21 knockouts as a pro.

Ali won the WBC, WIBA, IWBF and IBA female super middleweight titles. She was also at one time the IWBF light heavyweight champion.

Ali is the author of "Reach!: Finding Strength, Spirit and Personal Power." Even in retirement, she remains a popular public speaker and television personality.
