Broadcaster Erin Andrews and Football Star J.J. Watt Host June’s CMT Music Awards

The CMT Music Awards certainly need no help with star power.  However, on June 8th, two standouts from the sports world will provide an added punch as show hosts.

Broadcaster Erin Andrews and Houston Texans star J.J. Watt will co-host the event.  The CMT Music Awards originates from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Andrews was fortunate to also host the show last year and will be joined by Watt for his first go around.  All the festivities will be aired live on CMT beginning at 8 p.m.

Andrews is currently one of the more high-profile sports reporters in the business through her role with Fox Sports.  She is the top NFL sideline reporter and also works major baseball events for the network.

In addition to her role at Fox, Andrews has expanded her portfolio into the world of entertainment as a co-host of the hit ABC series "Dancing with the Stars".  She was a contestant on season ten of the show and finished third.

Prior to arriving at Fox, Andrews captivated sports audiences during an eight-year run at ESPN.  She was a top sideline reporter for the network's college football coverage and contributed to the award-winning program, "College Gameday".

Watt is regarded by many as the most dominant defensive player in the NFL.  In his young career, he has already been named AP Defensive Player of the Year on three occasions.

Watt boasts four consecutive Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selections.  He has two 20-sack seasons and last year led the league for a second time with 17.5 sacks.

His pass rushing efforts also helped the Texans capture the AFC South division title.  Watt already holds franchise records for forced fumbles and sacks.
