Boston Celtics Rookie Jayson Tatum Signs Endorsement Deal with Hometown Pizza Chain

Boston Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum maintains a strong connection with his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Likewise, the city always embraces their homegrown sports stars.

That mutual affection made Tatum's new endorsement deal with St. Louis-based chain, Imo's Pizza, a no brainer. He is going to be featured in upcoming ads across television and print for Imo's.

Tatum mentioned his love for St. Louis style pizza and particularly Imo's during the draft process. St. Louisan and former Cardinals third baseman David Freese also has an endorsement deal with the company.

Tatum led Chaminade Prep to the Missouri 5A state title in 2016. He was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year and became a McDonald's All-American.

The consensus five-star prospect chose to attend Duke University. In his one season with the Blue Devils, Tatum averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game on the way to being named to the All-ACC third-team.

The Celtics selected him with the third overall pick in the NBA Draft this past June. He had a successful professional debut, averaged 17.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game at the Las Vegas Summer League.
