2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee Terrell Owens Keynotes Orange Helmet Awards in April

The BC Lions Football Club is welcoming one of the more prominent football personalities in recent years. Newly elected Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens will serve as the keynote speaker for the team's Orange Helmet Awards.

The 15th annual event takes place on April 6th at the Westin Bayshore. It is being presented by Coast Capital Savings.

Over the years, the awards ceremony has raised $900,000 and another sellout is expected this year. Local players are honored and proceeds go towards supporting youth football in British Columbia.

Owens played 16 NFL seasons and was a six-time Pro Bowler and five-time first-team All-Pro. His 15,934 receiving yards rank second in NFL history and his 153 touchdowns put him third all-time.

Owens led the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 2001, 2002 and 2006. He had eight standout seasons for the San Francisco 49ers before reaching the Super Bowl in his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Owens was named to the NFL's 2000s All-Decade Second Team. He is the only player in league history to score a touchdown against all 32 teams.
